Hello witches!

In this game, you create a coven of three witches seeking revenge against endless swarms of townsfolk who have been brainwashed by the small town priest. Each witch is outfitted with special abilities, weapons, and gear, and if you’re lucky, a familiar to help you get your vengeance.

How it plays

Your goal is to complete objectives before the townsfolk overwhelm you. Each scenario starts with a story, leading into lots of tactical movement, special abilities, and dice chucking, where crits explode to add more successes and misses are dropped nto your cauldron for even more powerful attacks.

Every turn you’ll activate one witch, where they’ll have two actions to pick up objectives, fight enemies, or hightail it outta there. Then an enemy moves and attacks in hopes of downing all the witches.

The Game Designer’s Favorite Moment

Your Witch is surrounded and a Priest, the toughest enemy, is on the board. Every Enemy has only 1 Health, yet their Armor never breaks. Normal attacks barely stand a chance against a Priest. To take them down, it requires careful collaboration and action efficiency with other Witches to stack abilities, roll the dice, and pray for an exploding crit—or you can run in hopes of fulfilling your objective before the swarm overwhelms you. The choice is yours.

Inspiration & Artwork

The artwork from 18th and 19th century books about witches has always been inspiring. These books were often religious propaganda against witches, such as the Malleus Maleficarum. So it felt like the right time in history to reinterpret the art and create a game about a group of misunderstood people getting revenge on the powers that be.
